About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Grant Funding Specialist, based in Lake Country, BC.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be responsible for researching and preparing business cases for funding and budget proposals, identifying and pursuing grant funding opportunities and partnerships to leverage and extend District resources.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited:
- Research and develop project proposals
- Advocate for District initiatives to secure external funding opportunities
- Provide strategic guidance to advance opportunities across all levels of the organization
- Identify and conduct strategic analysis on emerging legislative trends

More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of a degree in political science, communications or public relations and a minimum of five years’ related work experience in a government setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
As our ideal candidate, you have thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques related to intergovernmental relations. You are an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, and skilled in dealing with highly confidential matters with courtesy and diplomacy.

- This exempt position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $90,024 to $105,403
